Eagles`NestThe Location, The House, The RoomsThe North western part of Ireland is still the 'Real' Ireland. You can still hear the locals speak the native Irish language in the Gaeltacht, of course they all speak English also !
This is a part of Ireland of traditional landscapes and culture. The nature is rough, steep hills waterfalls, fjords, rugged hill sides, myriad of lakes and rivers with an abundance of fish. Across the wilderness of this unspoilt terrain you can feel like an adventurer an this is even on the main road !!
The people here in the locality are typical Irish, very friendly and helpful (I may write this because I am German).
If you are just passing through, or staying a while in North West Ireland, our house is an idyllic resting place for fishermen, anglers, golfers, surfers, horse riders etc. Our guests can just enjoy the unbelievable sunset across the bay with an Irish whiskey by the open fire. (It can also be a cup of tea or coffee with a homemade cake !!)
Anne can organise flights, hire cars, taxi service for airports, pubs etc...
Day trips can also be organised ie. Fishing in salt water and fresh water river/lakes.
One of the boats is waiting for a day trip in the bay.
Sit a while with the locals in the traditional pubs, have a glass of Guiness at Packie's Bar or you can listen to traditional Irish music in Elliot's Pub.
Evening dinner is also available in this homely guesthouse, with international and traditional Irish cuisine on offer. Anne is more than happy to pamper to your every whim!
You decide in the morning during breakfast, if you'd like to have dinner in the evening. Menues available daily. Barbeque's may be organised at short notice weather permitting !
We are happy to give you a lift to and from Leo's Pub famous with Clannad and Enya fans, or any other pub in the area. (Next morning one aspirin FREE !!)
Local amenities include Dooey Beach & Surf School, Mount Errigal famous with hill walkers, Glenveagh National Park, Portnoo golf course and horse riding available on the beach to mention but a few.
Complete your evening with an Irish Coffee sitting by the open fire overlooking the beautiful bay.
The house is located directly near the Gweebarra Bay only a few feet from the water's edge. Surrounded by trees and nestled in the rock face this house is situated down a little Irish boreeen with grass growing in the middle of the road, and original old stone famine walls on either side of Cullion Road.
This road is the first left turning from the Gweebarra Bridge heading from Glenties to Dungloe on the N56.

Also available adjacent to the guesthouse is a separate 1 bedroom apartment (sleeps 4 people), kitchen/bathroom/lounge/diner.
All rooms have internet access, television German English and Irish Channels.
Any special requests made in advance will be supplied ie... baby cots, high chair, etc... Enjoy your breakfast and evening meal in the comfort of the dining room concervatory overlooking the panoramic views of the bay and country side.
